Beurer expands production in Europe

As leading provider of a wide range of products relating to health and wellbeing, Beurer is significantly expanding its production capacities in Europe. In addition to the existing production facility in Hungary, another plant has now been inaugurated in the Republic of Moldova. This important investment strengthens Beurer's market presence in Europe and its position as an industry leader.

Beurer has been producing the entire range of flexible heating products in Veszprém, Hungary, since 1992. The plant was expanded to become the European production facility for medical devices in 2021. Now the Ulm-based healthcare specialist is underlining its commitment to its European production focus and growth in the corresponding trade structures even more clearly, with an additional production plant in the Republic of Moldova.

"Made in Europe": an important quality feature
The new plant in the Republic of Moldova and the existing Hungarian site produce heated throws and heat pads, medical face masks, infrared lamps, blood pressure monitors and non-contact clinical thermometers, with further product groups to follow. The products are manufactured on state-of-the-art production facilities that meet the highest quality and efficiency standards.

The decision to expand our presence in Europe is based on a strategic analysis of market requirements and customer needs. This importantly also contributes to regional value generation and ensures greater flexibility to meet the growing demands of the market. Additionally, "Made in Europe" is and will remain an important quality feature in many customers' purchasing decisions, and creates special brand trust.

"Our goal is to bring more and more product groups back into European production and in this way operate more independently of international supply chains and long transport routes. This investment will enable us to offer our customers in Europe even better service and further strengthen our competitiveness.
We are delighted to have achieved another important milestone with the new production site," comments Beurer Managing Director Marco Bühler.

The expansion of the production site in Europe will also have positive effects on the local economy. Close collaboration with regional partners and the creation of new jobs are central elements of Beurer's growth strategy.
